What a Halo Support Training session looks like
There’s no Death by Powerpoint here. The goal is hands on, actionable learning with real world examples, and explained without hype and complicated technical jargon.
Before anything else, I take a few minutes to understand where everyone is - not in a test or a quiz, just an honest conversation about what people have tried, what they're curious about and what feels daunting. I'll have already spoken with someone from your organisation beforehand, but this lets me understand individual needs in the room and adjust accordingly.
Every topic follows the same simple pattern. First I explain it clearly - no jargon, no assumptions about what people know. Then I demonstrate it using a realistic scenario that actually makes sense for your kind of organisation.
Everyone in the room works through the task themselves, applying it to their own role, their own words and their own day-to-day work. Most people work better by doing rather than just passively watching so this ensure everyone has had hands on experience with the content to help embed the content.
As confidence builds we go further - more detail, more depth, more capability - but always at a pace that brings everyone with it. AI can do amazing things for your organisation, but only if your team are ready for it. Training like this isn't just a one and done kind of thing. Getting the foundations right means that when you're ready for the bigger stuff, you've got people who can make it happen.
CPD Accredited
All Halo Support AI courses are accredited by The CPD Group, meaning they meet a recognised industry standard for continuing professional development. For Welsh businesses applying for Flexible Skills Programme funding, CPD accreditation is a key eligibility requirement - so you can apply with confidence.

Meet your Trainer
I've been delivering technology training for over a decade and have developed a style that is clear and purposeful whilst also being relaxed and approachable. My goal is to make complicated topics easy to understand and make sure everyone leaves feeling confident, not just the people at the front.
I've been working with AI since the early days of tools like ChatGPT and have delivered sessions to hundreds of people across the country, from complete beginners to senior leadership teams. Every session is tailored to the organisation - the examples, the demos and the pace are all shaped around you and your team.

FAQs
Q: We're a small team with mixed levels of tech confidence. Will AI training work for us?
A: This is exactly who our training is designed for. Before every session we have a conversation with someone from your organisation to understand where your team is starting from. On the day, we take time at the start to understand individual confidence levels in the room and adjust accordingly. Nobody gets left behind, and nobody needs any prior experience with AI.
Q: How long does a training session last?
A: Our standard sessions run for approximately 2.5 hours each. A full training day covering multiple sessions runs to around 5 hours, anything more and people start to feel overwhelmed.
Q: Do attendees need to bring anything or have anything set up in advance?
A: Just a laptop or tablet with internet access and a willingness to give things a go. We will advise you on any free tools or platforms worth having ready before the session, and we will walk through everything on the day so nobody arrives feeling underprepared.
Q: Can the training be delivered remotely or does it have to be in person?
A: We can deliver sessions both in person and online. In person tends to work best for team buy-in and the hands-on elements, but online delivery works well for teams that are spread across locations. We will discuss what works best for your organisation when you get in touch.
Q: How is the training tailored to our organisation?
A: Before every session we have an initial conversation about your organisation, your sector, and what you want to get out of the training. The examples, demonstrations and exercises on the day are then shaped around your team's actual work - not generic scenarios that don't feel relevant. A housing association session feels different to an accountant’s session, even if the underlying skills are the same.
Q: What happens after the training?
A: Everyone leaves with practical skills they have actually used on the day, not just watched someone else demonstrate. We also provide resources to help embed what has been learned back in the workplace. For organisations that want to go further, our 101, 102 and 103 sessions are designed as a progression - each one building on the last.
Q: How do I know AI training is the right investment for my organisation right now?
A: That is exactly the kind of question we want to have an honest conversation about. If we do not think AI training is the right fit for your organisation at this point, we will tell you. Book a free discovery call and we will give you a straight answer.
Q: Do you work with organisations outside Wales?
A: Yes, though organisations outside Wales are not eligible for the Welsh Government's Flexible Skills Programme funding. If you are based outside Wales, get in touch and we will talk through your options.
Q: How quickly can training be booked?
A: It depends on availability, but we typically aim to get sessions booked within a few weeks of an initial conversation. If you have a specific date in mind or a deadline to meet - for example, to use FSP funding before March 2027 - let us know when you get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: Is there a minimum number of attendees?
A: While we do have a suggested maximum, there is no minimum number of attendees. Costs are not based on the number of attendees so to get the most out of your session you may want to get a group of staff together on the same day where possible.
Based on over 500 responses:
98.7% of attendees said they would recommend the courses to others.
